Justin Klein | Assistant Volleyball Coach

Justin Klein returns to Lynchburg as a member of the volleyball coaching staff this fall.

Klein has served as the assistant volleyball coach for the Lynchburg Volleyball Academy since 2013 where he specialized in training, statistics, scouting, and scheduling locations for practices and tournaments.  He also has worked as an exercise physiologist at CENTRA Health since 2010, creating personal fitness plans for clients among other responsibilities.

Klein, a 2010 graduate of Lynchburg, was on the baseball team during his time as a student and received a degree in exercise physiology.

 


Mallory Lenhart | Assistant Volleyball Coach

Mallory Lenhart joined the Lynchburg volleyball staff as a graduate assistant coach in 2018-19.

Lenhart is a 2016 graduate of Lourdes University in Sylvania, Ohio, as a setter and team captain for the Grey Wolves. She played her first two years at Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio as a setter and captain.

While at Lourdes, Lenhart interned with the marketing department reporting on, scheduling, and photographing campus events. She graduated with a degree in pre-art therapy.

The Lambertville, Mich., native spent three years coaching club volleyball at the club she played for, Premier Volleyball Academy. Lenhart coached athletes between ages 10 and 18. She has also been coaching high school camps since 2010.

In addition to her coaching duties, she will be matriculating through Lynchburg's master's in school counseling program.


Jen Garrett | Assistant Volleyball Coach

Jen Garrett joins the 2017 Lynchburg volleyball staff after one of the most successful careers in program history.

The Forest, Va., native sits in the top three in the Hornets' record book in several categories, including kills in a match, attack attempts in a match, kills in a season, kills-per-game in a season, attack attempts in a season, kills in a career, kills-per-game in a career, and attack attempts in a career. She was named an AVCA All-American as a senior to go with all-region and All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference honors. Garrett was also a first-team all-state selection by the Virginia Sports Information Directors.

Garrett works in Lynchburg as a registered nurse.
